Sponsor an Event

There is nothing like this type of publicity. I sponsor a lot of events. I noticed early on that sponsoring an event, though requires an investment, offers great return on that investment dollar. Why? Well! if you choose your events carefully, i.e. based on your target market then you will maximize your advertising dollars because you will be catering to your target and not people/businesses that are not in your target. It is really simple but highly effective.

I also want to leave feedback on this. When sponsoring an event, see if there's a way you can "follow up" with those you met at the event. If you are getting an exhibitor booth, don't give away a bunch of promotional products. I recommend spending your dollars on a nice prize vs. a bunch of logo'd frisbees. If you can offer a prize, people will enter your drawing to win the prize and that will require they leave you their contact information. Then, you can track the result of events you sponsor and compare what was successful and what was not.

Also, be active. Don't just sit at your booth and expect people to approach you. Stand up, say hi to everyone that walks by and start a conversation, even if they seem disinterested at first. Often times, they're just overwhelmed by all of the other vendors that are there.
